The KHS-Maxxis JLVelo Cycling Team has continued its winning streak, with victories both at the LA Circuit Race, and the Temecula Grand Prix. Following the teams success at Sea Otter, the riders headed to Los Angeles to race the LA Circuit Race. With a packed field, Ulises Castillo, Eder Frayer and Fabrizio Von Nacher took control of the race and finished in style. They were able to hold off the charging field to place 1-2, with Fabrizio taking the win and Ulises finishing 2nd.

Fast forward to this past weekend, and the team lined up once again in pursuit of the win. The Temecula Grand Prix is a new addition to the race calendar and it did not disappoint. With high wind and temperatures cresting the 80s, the team had their work cut out for them. Toeing the line for the day would be Duban Sanchez, Eder Frayer, Ulises Castillo, Fabrizio Von Nacher and Efren Flores. The KHS-Maxxis-JLVelo team had a quick turn around from a very successful Redlands Bicycle Classic, to head to Monterey for the 2016 Sea Otter Classic. Riders Cory Lockwood, Eder Frayer, Fabrizio Von Nacher and Ulises Castillo began their campaign at the event with the early morning criterium, held on the Laguna Seca Raceway. With 60 minutes to race, the team knew that the key was to enter the last 4 quick turns in the lead in order to solidify the win. The 2016 Redlands Bicycle Classic fostered the teams best results to date, with Ulises Castillo storming to victory in the stage 4 downtown criterium, and sealing the weekend off with a spectacular ride on Sunday for 2nd place on the iconic Sunset Stage. The excitement was infectious as Ulises and the team have grown deep roots in the Redlands community. The team hosts families, local junior athletes, and supporters of the team banged on the boards as he raced to victory and swarmed the podium as he celebrated his biggest career win.
