KHS Factory Racing’s Logan Binggeli and Kevin Aiello take 1st and 2nd respectively, at the 2012 Flyin Brian in Brian Head, Utah this past weekend.

KHS Factory Team Manager Quinton Spaulding is totally psyched about 650b wheels for downhill racing. He told us that based on his prototype testing, the tween wheels offer traction advantages with no compromise in handling. “Nothing lost, only gained,” was his executive summary.
KHS is fully committed to the production of an all-new DH650b model, based on the suspension platform used on the company’s current DH300 bike (shown here). The first production bikes are due off the line in about six weeks. Look for KHS rider Logan Binggeli to pilot the DH650b at the upcoming Red Bull Rampage in Virgin River, Utah.

Logan Binggeli dials in his line choices during post qualifying practice for the top 80 today.Binggeli qualified 67th but knows he can break through the top 30.
Kevin Aiello had a solid qualifier landing the 40th spot. After today’s session, Aiello feels strong for a top 30 finish in tomorrows finals.

KHS was an early arrival for stop # 3 of the Pro GRT Gravity Tour in Roxbury, NY. We hit the driving range…
and played a little “ping pong”.
Our good friends Laszlo and his “crew” (from PLATTEKILL Bike Park), showered us with the “FINEST” treatment, from shuttling us to feeding us…THANKS so much guys!!
Besides having access to a Pro Bike Wash, we had full use of a local bike shop.
A special thanks goes out to Chris Nolan of Plattekill Bike Park, for allowing us access to their bike shop … YOU GUYS ROCK!
We discussed lines one more time before qualifying, and then it was time to do the work.
I had a solid qualifier. making sure to hit all my lines clean – I ended up 19th on the seeding list.
Binggeli had a fast qualifying run holding down 6th Place.
Aiello too had a fast qualifier (even with a small mishap) and ended up 10th.
Keeping our machines clean and dialed between qualifying and racing is imperative.
If you don’t have a Clean Well tuned machine, your chances of winning are significantly sabotaged.
My race run was pretty similar to my qualifier. I managed to shave 3 seconds off my qualifying time, (which was my goal for the race run).
Binggeli’s race run was strong, good enough for 7th place and a very important top 10 finish.
Aiello’s race run went way better than his qualifier… he SNATCHED up the 5th spot on the podium on the day!
The trip took a turn for the better when Aiello hit the wood for KHS Factory Racing!! – ON THE WOOD IS GOOD!!
Say good-bye to good friends and it’s off to Italy for the 2nd World Cup on the UCI DHI Tour.
