Downhill Southeast Series Releases Updated Schedule for Summer 2020

  • June 6/7 – Windrock Bike Park – Tennessee *
  • July 11/12 – Beech Mountain Resort – North Carolina
  • August 1/2 – Snowshoe Mountain – West Virginia *
  • August 8/9 – Sugar Mountain – North Carolina *

* USAC State Championship

With states in the Southeastern United States opening back up after the COVID-19 pandemic, Downhill Southeast has announced that they will go ahead with 4 races starting in June. Most of the original schedule has been pushed back due to local laws or larger events rescheduling.

Racing will proceed under local guidelines with social distancing techniques in place such as online-only registration, staggered lift lines and modified awards ceremonies. Having a time trial race rather than a mass start event will make it easier for riders to avoid close contact while competing.

The KHS Pro MTB team has been staying fit and are excited to start racing again. Nik Nestoroff and Steven Walton will be racing the downhill crouse, while teammate Seamus Powell will be racing the enduro track. We are stocked to be able to get back to racing and wish the team the very best.

KHS Pro MTB team on the NEW Kenda Pinner tire

Kenda Pinner tire technology chat.

The Pinner is Kenda’s all-new dry condition gravity tire developed with Aaron Gwin, the Pinner was designed for World Cup tracks like Leogang and Lenzerheide and to hold its own against the toughest competitors. The Pinner shines with excellent cornering predictability and particularly high puncture protection. Available with AGC or ATC casing upon the launch, the Pinner is an excellent choice for gravity racers and trail riders alike. The KHS Pro MTB team is loving this new tire and can’t wait to hit the races with this game-changer. Kenda tire Pinner video: https://youtu.be/TVYGkcyCq-8
